Mattguitar started a thread in the Easy Songs database on the song Breakfast in America where anyone could post their ideas about how to play/arrange this song. It's pretty fun. What does anyone think about a new forum called "Projects" where you could start a thread on any song you want and people would post their ideas about how to play it. It would be different from the easy song database because it wouldn't have to be an easy song and it would be about throwing in ideas for playing a song, not questions abut how to play it.
Sounds as if this might fit in the Online Jams and Collaborations forum. There really aren't any online jams anyway; it's been all non-real time recording collaborations to date. I think group writing and arranging would fit in nicely, and breathe a bit of new life into that forum. Going a bit further: Maybe some sub-headings under Collaborations for recording, writing, arranging, etc. would be appropriate for organizational purposes.
