still have no idea...

If I had any mp3's I'd send you some......... in fact......... give me a bit and I just might............ John Hiatt is one of those (I hate to use the word) "obscure" artists (mainly because, even though he isn't as well known as he should be, IMHO, he has an immense and extremely loyal fan base). He's an extremely talented, very prolific songwriter. And he puts on one of the best live shows I've ever been lucky enough to attend again and again and again!! I've been a fan for YEARS!!!

I've put up 4 of my favorite John Hiatt tunes from 'Little Head'..... the 4th one (Pirate Radio) is still uploading even as I type, but should be available shortly........ the other three are completely up, though! Enjoy! :D

So, we're posting lyrics now, are we?
Here's A Perfect Circle's The Outsider

Help me if you can,
It's just that this, is not the way I'm wired so,
Could you please,
Help me understand why,
Why you've given in to all these reckless dark desires you're,
Lying to yourself again,
Suicidal imbecile,
Think about it, put it on a faultline,
What'll it take to get it through to you precious,
Not like this, why do you want to throw it away like this,
Such a mess, I don't wanna watch you.

Disconnect and self destruct, one bullet at a time,
What's your rush now,
Everyone will have his day to die.

Medicated, drama queen,
Picture perfect numb belligerence,
Narcissistic, drama queen,
Craving fame and all its decadence.

Lying through your teeth again,
Suicidal imbecile,
Think about it, put it on a faultline,
What'll it take to get it through to you precious
Not like this, why do you want to throw it away like this,
Such a mess, I don't wanna watch you.

Disconnect and self destruct, one bullet at a time,
What's your rush now,
Everyone will have his day to die.

They were right about you, (repeat)

Lying to my face again,
Suicidal imbecile,
Think about it, you put on a faultline,
What'll it take to get it through to you precious,
Not like this, why do you want to fly away like this,
Such a mess,
Coalesce
Coalesce!

Disconnect and self destruct, one bullet at a time,
What's your hurry, everyone will have his day to die,
If you choose to pull the trigger,
Should your drama prove sincere,
Do it somewhere, far away from here.

Pure Genius. A song about not committing suicide. Awesome

There's a thin fine line between hate and rage.
Now watch the line be crossed and break!

Must be a generational thing.....doesn't do it for me....

That's not to say it doesn't have exceptional value to you and others....

Yeah, must be generational! Doesn't do it for me, either. But, I just can't get into all of this "dark" stuff. This may be a totally "old chick's" question, but, why would anybody want to listen to a song about suicide? Even if it's not actually about committing suicide. I just can't get into the dark, (I hesitate to use the word) underbelly of the world. IMHO, of course. I guess, though, that if that's what flips your switches, flip away..................

I think that Tool and A Perfect Circle are two of the best songwriting bands. Along with the great Slipknot. THeir drummer Joey Jordison is the best drummer of our time and he writes a lot of their songs. But a very important band has been left out and that is Korn. Jonathan Davis' singing style and the lyrics that they use are phenomenal. Their lyrics have the ability to take hold on you. And they are just so good I am surprised no one even mentioned them yet.

Got Metal?
