Expressive, yet not overly serious. The problem with many artists is that they have a certain mood or view of life impsoed in their lyrics. This often leads to hokey soundsing lyrics. Even if the concept is making happy, pleasant, lyrics.

My opinion is, lyrics for the most part should be poetry.

I was in Paris about 3 years ago and decided I'd pop in on old Jim, having never seen him when he was alive. Got to the cemetary, and you could tell which plot was his - he had a freaking audience of at least 15-20. I shudder to think what he draws on the weekends!

Thank you scratch. Nick on the other hand...I NEEDED MY MEMORY REFRESHED!! My dad did sound work for the Doors when they were on tour so you can shut it. Thank you scratch. I just needed to remember...a little mind refresher....my dad did sound work...you dont think I wouldnt know who the Doors were?

Another band with good lyrics....Pink Floyd. Jimi Hendrix. Just to name two.
