Topic starter

Out of work, aint got no pay
seventeen years since my last baby.
Now my world is startin to take a turn.
Is it for the best or for the worst?

cause im forty and i gotta little baby girl.
the birth of her oh man how she changed my whole world.
a miracle she is and that miracle is mine, to have and to hold through this day and time.

when she grows up shes gonna be a star,
shes gotta live to learn and learn from her heart.
she'll have times, when she is blue, but she'll always have me to look up to.

cause im forty and i gotta little baby girl.
the birth of her oh man how she changed my whole world.
a miracle she is and that miracle is mine, to have and to hold through this day and time.

Musical Break.................................

Now im eighty and i gotta little babygirl,
she's forty and oh man how i changed her whole world.
she looks down at me and as she starts to cry, she says mom i don't know how to tell you goodbye,
and mama says...
Now your forty and you have your own little babygirl, and oh man how she'll change your whole world,
cause she'll be a star, and she'll learn from her heart. it doesnt matter where i go as long as you know, who you are.

This is awesome! The song lacks structure a little, but the lyrics are excellent. My mother just turned eighty. It's impossible to sing this without betting a lump in the throat. You did good.

Take care,
