Sentenced to life

V1
Each night I sit in this neon prison.
Thinking why I cheated and I lied.
Knowing that I'll never see daylight.
She might as well sentenced me to die.
v2
Those full bottles lined up like,
Iron prison bars meant for me.
Can't escape the decision that I made
Do my time and hope I'll find the key.
chorus
A broken promise is the crime
I committed
Never dreamed she would
Sentence me to life.
Insanity is a plea not worth pleading.
Cause the jury.
Is my family and my wife.
v3
Just a drunken one night stand
For eternity I'll pay
I'd give up everything I own
To forget that dreadfull day
v4
So I sit here drinking
Wishing we were not apart
Memorey lane keeps reminding me
Its just a place to park
Bridge
Yeah this is just like prison.
Same routine everyday.
With or without her.
Will I ever change my ways.
chorus
A broken promise is the crime
I committed
Never dreamed she would
Sentence me to life.
Insanity is a plea not worth pleading.
Cause the jury.
Is my family and my wife.

Good flow...really makes you think.

Temporary satisfaction could never be worth destroying the family over.

Good song Nite.

It's good. An extra helping of misery and regret would go down nicely, but it's good as it is.

Best,
