Thanks to Greg/Gmilam for an idea :)

Sink Or Swim:

(verse 1)
All i feel is that I'm alone
through this sea,
i fall like stone
but unlike rock
i need my breath,
or on the bottom meet my death.

(verse 2)
My ears are popping,
lungs on fire
my booted feet caught in the mire
kicking and thrashing,
hard as I may
all the world's beauty turning to gray

(Chorus)
Will I sink or swim....Lose or win
Can't tread any longer
The undertow; the crashing waves
Life's anchor grows stronger
Questioning, what will it be
Sink or swim?

(verse 3)
One last push my body is freed
i break the surface
life guaranteed
for the moment
this water i'll tread
wondering why this time
i'm not dead

(verse 4 )
And as i ply these waters
gasping for air
buoyed by hope,
dragged down by despair
if my happiness is flagging
or life's light goes dim...

(Chorus)
Will I sink or swim....Lose or win
Can't tread any longer
The undertow; the crashing waves
Life's anchor grows stronger
Questioning, what will it be
Sink or swim?

Dig it!

What's the riff/feel for it?

I'd love to hear it laid down.

I think that between verse 3 and 4 another chorus should be added, and some more lines should be added to the last chorus, you know? well, i was wondering if you have any notes or TAB written on the guitar for this song yet...I'm in a band called Never Knows Best and would love to take this song for a spin.I gotta couple ideas for a beat...Well, let me know if i got your permission....

Been ages since i've seen this song. Hardly remembered it. One of my favorites i've ever written. Any input on how any changes can be made to it?

Howdy DillyDally. Here's a few soggy suggestions
which you can haul in the boat or throw overboard.

Sink Or Swim

(Verse 1)
Feels like I'm sailing alone =6
Through this deep stormy sea =6
And I'm falling like a fast sinking stone =10
But unlike lifeless rocks =6
I need my every breath =6
Or on the bottom I will meet my death =10

(Verse 2)
Both my ears are popping =6
And my lungs are on fire =6
What's stopping my booted feet in the mire =10
I'm kicking and thrashing =6
Just as hard as I may =6
While all the world's beauty just turns to gray =10

(Chorus)
Will I sink or swim, lose or win =8
Can't tread any longer =6
The undertow; the crashing waves =8
Death's anchor grows stronger =6
So I question, what will I choose =8
Sink or swim, win or lose =6

(Verse 3)
One last push, body's freed =6
I break to the surface =6
I'm relieved that my life is guaranteed =10
Only for the moment =6
But this water I'll tread =6
Wondering why this time, why I'm not dead =10

(Verse 4)
As I ply these waters =6
Gasping for life's good air =6
Hope for my soul's safety is still sagging =10
Happiness is flagging =6
Dragged down deep by despair =6
The light of life can be a dim affair =10

(Chorus)
Will I sink or swim, lose or win =8
Can't tread any longer =6
The undertow; the crashing waves =8
Death's anchor grows stronger =6
So I question, what will I choose =8
Sink or swim, win or lose =6
