I know this isn' the kind off song you all are use to seeing here. But I thought i'd post it anyway. The song is more of a bluegrassy sound.

Tale of a mountain man

The title explains itself.

v1
Oldman Sammy Meyers.
Was a friend of mine.
There was eighty years between us,
Didnt matter at the time.
v2
He'd tell me about the high lonesome.
Where he lived without a care.
Sometimes I'd swear him crazy.
He'd say his friends still lived up there.
Chorus
He'd say.
Up in the high lonesome,
You'll be lonsome.
But you'll never be alone.
Its where the spirit of the Indians.
And the grizzly roam.
The mountain men watch over you.
As if you were there own.
In the high lonsome.
You'll be lonesome
But you'll never be alone.
v3
He said he was a mountain man.
Thats where he lost his ear.
Fightin off some Indians.
Wrestling with a grizzly bear.
v4
The scar opon his head came from
When he almost lost his scalp.
Said he laid there for two days.
Then his friends showed up to help.
Bridge
I'd get up to leave he'd never say goodbye.
Just say son, watch your topnotch.
And keep your powder dry.
Chorus
Up in the high lonesome.
You'll be lonsome.
But you'll never be alone.
It's where the spirit of the Indians.
And the grizzly roam.
The mountain men watch over you.
As if you were there own.
In the high lonesome.
You'll be lonesome.
But you'll never be alone

Here here. Fantastic. It may not be what we're "used" to hearing, but I for one wouldn't mind if it were. I second Alan's sentiments. More of this.
