What Strings Do You Use On Your Les Paul?

I use 10 Gauge Ernie Ball Sets Personally.

Is it true that there are onlyu about 5 string manufacturing plants in the world and they are responsable for turfing out all the strings? i.e. there is no such thing as gibson strings, their the same as another given set but with a different label?
