Colonel that pickguard is beautiful. DIY or custom ? Makes the axe look really cool!
Robbie
It's a DIY It's an enlargement of a digital picture I took of a sunrise in Los Cabos, Mexico this past Feb. I glued it on to the pickguard with contact adhesive, carefully cut out along the edges and the pickup opening, and six spray-on coats of polyurethane later - custom pickguard!
Glad you like it.

That's a great idea for a DIY pickguard Colonel. It sure is pretty! 8)

I knew there was a reason I loved it. We have spent four winters in the Baja. My Avatar was taken there and I use it cause it reminds me of Sun and Rum! Going now to check my digital pics to see what I can come up with for a pickguard photo.
Nice collection, colonel. That 51 pick guard is too cool. 8) 8)
Bish, what made you decide to try a Floyd?
It came on the guitar? :D
I liked the guitar for the price and it had nothing to do with the FR.
Now that I've got it, I'm going to divebomb Dan's Jam. :D

That would be the guitar for it too! 8) Bring it on Bish! :D
I had a Dean guitar in the 80's with a Floyd Rose on it. I think I almost threw it out the window in frustration trying to tune that sucker! Needless to say, I didn't keep it long!

Yeah. Shame they were recently discontinued. I'm keeping me peepers peeled though.
Nice job on the pickguard Colonel.

I've had a lot of sobering thoughts in my time.
It was them that turned me to drink.

I could try. It's one of the cheaper made in Korea PRS's. As I look a this list I have too much stuff. It's hard to keep in strings and one guitar is getting set-up. I hate to part with any of it, though!
I hear ya. My wife asks me why I have 6 guitars when I can only play one at a time. I mention her shoes ... and any further discussion about my guitars is over. I do play all of them, but mostly the Yamaha FG.
