I recently bought a Cole Clark FL1AC Acoustic Guitar. Is that a "Spalted" finish? I love that type of finish. Interesting that a fungus can result in such a work of art!

So I finally got around to taking pictures of my gear...
My 8-year-old Takamine G-240RS acoustic:
The c1960 Kent Ukulele (with plastic fretboard!) my mom handed down to me this Christmas:
Haven't had time to really learn it yet, but it's fun to play around with. One of the tuners is a little loose and one of the plastic frets is chipped, but it's actually in great shape given its age.
Finally, the nicest instrument I own (other than maybe my wife's piano), my Holton Merker Millenium horn:
Seriously, this is an incredible instrument with a gorgeous tone. Too bad I haven't played it in years.

its actually bunya pine that is used for the soundboard, not spruce. bunya is a native australian wood that is grown and harvested sustainably in Queensland and has similar structural and sound qualities to spruce. read more here.

Guild D-55... I aboslutely LOVE this guitar. Only had it for 6 months or so and can't wait to hear it change with age.
Be careful with that..... I have a blonde one from about 1998. I've had huge humidity issues which split the face twice & binding problems, but it rings like a bell & has supreme volume. Pretty good intonation too.
I straighten the humidity issues out by keeping it in the case in the winter with two planet waves soundhole humidifiers.......saved my Guilda. One humidifier in the soundhole & the extra one at the head stock, which I had binding issues with.
Hi, I'm new, and I this is a good thread to start posting on. I'm from Spain and I've been playing for about 3 years now. It's now that I want to get into theory, because all I know is to play songs, but not to create my own (i can do some things by ear but I strongly feel I need the theory). Of course I've read some articles about theory but haven't really got into it.
I have:
Guitars:
Yamaha RGX 121 SJ
Ibanez GAX30
Amplifiers:
Vox Pathfinder 10
Fame ML-30R
Line 6 Spider II-15
Stomboxes:
Vox Wah
A DIY RAT (made by myself)
I must say I don't really like the Line 6 Spider II-15, the distortion is horrible. the Fame amp is OK and I really like the clean of the Vox, very good amp for it's price.
Also, I'm a student of eletronics engineering and I'm building a Marshall Bluesbreaker from scratch, THAT is a good amplifier.
