I think that Nick Fury IS Sgt. Fury. In some weird comic book logic I think he was frozen, or super serumed, or time warped, or something and ended up in our time.

I have a cheap Explorer copy I bought from MusicYo for even cheaper as there is a blemish in the finish. I have been thinking about trying my hand at refinishing it but have been searching for a theme. I might have just found it. :? The Sargeant Fury Explorer. Kind of has a ring to it.
