I've already made it my goal to play like that.
And if I can't make it by the end of this lifetime,
I'm going to keep coming back until I do. 8)
That stuff is hard to achieve in just one lifetime -
soul recycling is usually needed (IMCO) :shock:
and besides I gotta late start.
It's the rock that gives the stream its music . . . and the stream that gives the rock its roll.
Guys, thanks. But go easy. 40 years of playing, first triggered by hearing Muddy, Wolf, BB, Yardbirds, early Stones, morphing into Clapton, SRV, Buddy Guy, Gilmour, the incredible Roy Buchanan -- it's all there for anyone who wants it. Greg Allman once said the band was just a bunch of students listening to the history of their part of the world. Granted, it has to move you down deep in your gut -- you really can't do it if it doesn't come from that place down where it's tangled and dark.
But if you get that feeling -- and you know exactly what I mean -- then you can bathe in this stuff and come up playing it. Go for it.
