I'd love to hear David cover this one at his General Store gig!
While the cat is away the mice do play (some X-rated stuff).
It's the rock that gives the stream its music . . . and the stream that gives the rock its roll.
Uh, I doubt that very much. While David's sense of humor runs towards the twisted semi-frequently, my twistedness runs circles around his, shouting out rude and deviant taunts all the while. "Hey, you call that twisted? Watch this."
David also has a great sense of what is appropriate and I apparently lost this sense sometime in the late 70's.
So don't hold your breath.
The General Store isn't the proper venue for this song. I was trying to think of a venue when one of our other frequent contributors suggested a brothel might work. I think they might be right. I'll let you know.

Gee Nick, it's almost like two hours of conversation with you during a drive up to David's, but condensed into 3:34.
But, if you want to host a RSJ at a brothel, I would of course dump my good judgement like body into a construction site and uh, ... back you.

I dont get it. Is it a metaphor?
ROFL I laughed so hard.

It could be a metaphor, for the loyalty of company to employee? Class struggle? Social Darwinism?
"ROFL" is exactly what I wanted to hear. Thanks for listening.
Yes Greg, I remember that drive. I think you were singing harmony. :D
"Hey, you call that twisted? Watch this."
You want to hear something obscene?
Just listen to me attempt to sing!

You are a SICK SICK man.
That is the most disgusting song I have heard in ages.
But very well written and totally amusing.

Oh I hope not I send the link to my boss.
This is sick and twisted....I like it   The recording is pretty good, the vocal is a bit muddy . I think Hue had the right idea  You should record and post more often, You have a way with words :D Thanks for posting this!
Nick,
I think you ought to look up the local branch of the "Blue Oyster Bar", I'm sure it would go down well, there (as would... no, it's best not said on a family forum... 8) ).
I started with nothing - and I've still got most of it left.
Did you know that the word "gullible" is not in any dictionary?

:shock . good to hear your stuff.
I'll have a different song up soon, but in the mean time I remixed this one using some of the advice from the kind members here. I re-recorded the vocals using a condenser mic, added a single guitar track to start the song off, faded in the 12 string, changed the harmonies a bit and fixed some problems.
Sometimes it's hard to hear things in a song when you've just been recording/mixing for hours and hours. You just get numb. Thanks all for taking a listen and making suggestions.

Feel free to make more suggestions, though I think I'm going to sit back and leave this one alone for a while. I will implement them eventually.
BTW, the rumor isn't true. Kathy R. did not play a cover of this one at her Border's gig.

From her gig report, one might assume it was only because Borders was unable to supply all required ... er ... equipment for the performance. This time.

and I thought "totally screwed without a PA" was a subtle way of submitting a request.......
