Cambrdige Soundworks are destroying all of our musical experiences in that case.

In a way I like the extra bass though, cos it's good for hearing Flea that bit more clearly.

My dad has an old BMW 5 series and boy, playing my CDs in there on that system is a real treat. The quality and surround-ness is brilliant. Sometimes I hear parts I never even knew were there.

Through a pair good headphones the recording sounds perfect.
And I like the light compression and the slight room echo , giving volume to the recording.
When I record my acoustic guitar with bridge piezo mic I need to add a bit of reverb to get the same room feeling.

Tanglewood TW28STE (Shadow P7 EQ) acoustic
Yamaha RGX 320FZ electric guitar/Egnater Tweaker 15 amp.
Yamaha RBX 270 bass/Laney DB 150 amp.

I think you have the EQ about right :D Nice full sound, I don't think you can improve on this with the equipment that you have( or with more expensive equipment for that matter :D --the dog

Thanks Dog - that's good advice. :)

Also remember I didn't EQ this at all, just recorded dry and compressed a little bit. It could be that the compression brought up the bass too much, but I probably need to play some more with mic positioning.

Some times the less you mess around with the EQ the better 8) It all comes down to what sounds good to you

LOL - even if I can improve upon it next time, will I get all the settings right the time after that?

That sounded SO good! What's to improve?

That would have been a good riff for Guess that Riff. I'd know it anywhere.

It's... Where is Jaque A? Right? :D

The quality is nice. I wish I would have gone this route (USB Pre-AMP) instead of buying a 2nd sound card with a mixer. Stupid sam ash commision people could have saved me some money. Perhaps its my crummy MXLv67 mic.
