Well I guess I had better report on my latest soiree into the live music world. Last night was club night for our music club and being on the committee I got to work the door, hassling people for the cover charge, not a particularly nice job to do at all. The format of our club night is to have 1 hour of blackboard concert (2 songs max) for the first hour and then a feature band, which we have to pay, hence the cover charge. Still it took my mind off thinking about getting up there again and doing a couple of songs. I think this time round was the first time I did my set and didn't make a mistake, I really felt good up there. It was also the first time that the gig was indoors, its getting a bit colder down here (the antipides) now. The sound that I could hear through the monitors and I guess off the walls was excellent and I think that contributed to my sense of ease up there. I played two of my own songs, “Long Time†http://forums.guitarnoise.com/viewtopic.php?t=19679 and “Angels and Demons†the rewrite (my personal favourite) http://forums.guitarnoise.com/viewtopic.php?t=15940 and received quite a few compliments later so I guess it must have been one of those times when everything comes together, a bit like a great round of golf really.
Cheers

Good stuff, Paul. Nice to see both songs you did were originally written for the SSG, too!
:D :D :D

Paul,
Nice report! I'm glad it went well.
I don't think I heard the rewrite of A&D before.
Very nice
John
