Sorry to hear about your loss and your injury. I hope both pains heal quickly.

Finger still hurts, but I did play some slide with it tonight. My red Diamond Ultimate wouldn't go all the way on, because my pinky's bigger than my ring finger at the moment. But I made some music. It'll be OK in a few days. I'm happy to put up with it for ending Cally's suffering, though I wish I'd foreseen and prevented the bite. Just never occurred to me that'd happen.

Sorry about Cally, Ric.

And your finger...wow. Cally gave you something to remember huh?

Hope you heal completely and quickly. How's the Mrs? She ok?

it is always hard to lose a pet. they have a way of taking over one's heart.
sounds like she had a great life in the barnyard. a cat's paradise for sure.
take care of your finger (ow) and plant a perennial near her resting spot.
I did that with one of my pets. the flowers year after are a pleasant reminder.

careful with the side. don't get it stuck on the finger.

Sorry to hear about the little Kitty and your finger. Man I think about thatall the time. I've had my cat for about 10 years now, she found me one day in the park and we;ve been together ever since.

Never had nor liked cats at all until this one. She's like my best friend and follows me around the house all the time, she's like a dog.

I know the day will come when I have to do the same thing and I really don't know if I can handle it.

Sorry to hear about Callie, Ric.
We just lost one of our two dogs in June.
She had kidney failure and it got to the point where we had to put her down.
I too held her as the vet gave her the shot and thankfully, she went immediately to sleep very peacefully.
Our dogs are like our children to us . . . . now that the nest is empty.
Sheebie was our guard dog and was very protective.
She followed me every where around the house and even put up with my guitar playing.

Now we have Dekker.
And he's beginning to show his age (14).
But he still loves his car rides.
Here's a picture of him
trying on a pair of Doggles that I
got for him.
He didn't care for them so
Now he rides barefaced in the wind.

Anyway, tell Mrs. R that I'm saddened by your loss.
(And don't treat that finger infection lightly.
I had to have surgery (skin graft) on my finger once because of a bad infection.)

Thanks, y'all!

I think it'd be a rare pooch who'd put up with wearing those Doggles. I've seen a pic of a big orange tomcat who wore similar goggles while riding on his "owner's" Harley. That's definitely unusual.

Today the finger's very swollen and blanches if I straighten it out. Hand is swollen and redder than I like proximal to the finger. But it hurts a whole lot less. (Probably because I found a few Celebrex, took one yesterday and this morning.) Gonna keep taking my Augmentin. Hopefully my slide finger (and left hand) won't turn black and fall off. I can type with it a lot better today.

(Probably because I found a few Celebrity Spam, took one yesterday and this morning.)
Celebrity Spam?

That's an odd output from the censor, for the name of an arthritis pill.

Scrybe and I had a lot of "brilliant fun" (her words) with this forum's censor . . .
testing the limits . . . "pushing the envelope" as fighter pilots say.
Preskription --> spam was one I stumbled on when replying to Master Nick . . .
(who was blaming his change in meds for something or other).

I miss Scrybe. I wish someone would clue me in on like . . .
when she's going to be back (or something or other).

KR2 and out.
