Chicago?

Since this one came up again, I just wanted to pop in and say thanks to everybody for the suggestions and help with finding cool places to hear music in Chicago.

The guitar store in Evanston is the bomb, though they didn't quite have what I was looking for.

when I lived in Evanston, the (now late) Jethro Burns, mandolin virtuoso, used to hang out at Guitar Works. David and I used to do a lot of guitar trading at that store right from the time it opened. nice to see it flourish into a "place to be."
