The Beano album, John Mayall's Bluesbreakers
Me too!
It's a great album, every single song except for the harmonica songs, Yechh
I just bought the new Status Quo CD...."The Party Ain't Over Yet"....half way through my first listen....at 3.15am!!!....but already I love it....
I suppose this'll be on for at least the next week....I've seen Quo twice this year, already got tickets to see them in Manchester, Dec 13th....
I've seen them in the 70's (3 times) the 80's (once) the 90's (once) and the 00's - twice this year, Dec 13th will make 3....
They're in the middle of the 40th (!!!!) anniversary tour, the new album is well up to standard....just the usual Quo, lots of 12-bar blues, but they just do it so well.....
The highlight of the year so far has been when Marilyn had to sit down (in Liverpool) and put the walking-stick down....Frank gave her a wave, a "thumbs-up" and a smile....bless you Frank!!!!!
Frank, Rick, Rhino, Andy and Matt....
LONG MAY YOU ROCK!!!!!

Finally got my hands on Johnny Winter's "Second Winter" on CD.
The guitar tone he gets on "Memory Pain" is just to die for.
It's been Lennon weekend on VH1, Marilyn hasn't had as much as a sniff of the remote....
Currently watching "Gimme Some Truth" about the making of the "Imagine" album, if there's ever been a better album I've yet to hear it.....
Although the first Plastic Ono Band album might just have the edge on Imagine for sheer musical brilliance, what has knocked me out this weekend has been the consistent high quality of Lennon's output....
I've watched most of it in bed, got the mother and father of all colds....and my head feels like sais mum and dad are busy trying to procreate and have lots and lots of little colds....
But watching Lennon has cheered me up no end....
:D :D :D

Back to my old ways, Metallica (OLD SCHOOL!!!)
But, I have started to compose (a valiant effort anyways  ) my own classical piece (I think I can call it that) after watching "Mr. Holland's Opus" for the first time. Anyway, I have a keyboard I'll be borrowing for a little while to help me in this venture. Just got to learn how to use it.
Where there is a will, there is a way.........and I WILL find it. :D
I'm listening to a lot of Trans Siberian Orchestra since it's so close to Christmas
