My dad would always talk about retirement, and allude to the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. And I say all you've got at the end of the rainbow is death. You're riding the rainbow right now. - Mark Borchardt

But it wasn't at all hard to vote for Jimmy Page!
"That’s what takes place when a song is written: You see something that isn’t there. Then you use your instrument to find it."
- John Frusciante
No 1 mentioned David Gilmour. I like John Frusciante from RHCP, I think hes pretty good

Trower
Robin Trower is one of the great under rated I think. Another, for me, is Johnny Marr. Especially for his work on The The's Dusk...
Don
Billy Gibbons but i voted for SRV
I picked Tom Morello as I'm listening to him more than any others lately, exc. SRV; and dare I memtion Jack White? I dare. I wouldn't change the station on any of 'em, though.

Didn't see Tommy Emmanuel on the list but went with a close second, Mr. Hendrix.
Well, I've had some requests, but I'm going to play anyway.
Eric Clapton and Paul Kossoff! :D
Pat Travers is doing some great stuff lately, his latest effort is a great album. My favorite ( at least right now) is Brian Setzer. I picked up a double live Stray Cats Reunion CD recorded in 2004. That guy is amazing, the things he can do on guitar while singing is rediculous. He makes want to remove the neck from my strat and use it for kindling to get the body burnin' good.

I can't believe it took three pages to mention David Gilmour either. Shameful.
Malcom Young anyone?
I'm currently going through a bit of a Joe Bonamassa phase at the moment.
Difficult to pick an all time favourite really though.
For the sake of the poll I'll go with ... No can't decide at the moment will have to think about it a bit more.

I've had a lot of sobering thoughts in my time.
It was them that turned me to drink.
