SSG - Week 48 - KR2 (been so long since I started a thread I put the title in the wrong place)

1. It wasn't that long ago
2. Don't blame me
3. An atomic candle is a mighty light
4. Cats and women
5. Why is it I'm always wrong?

KR2 (This is MY thread so I don't want any of you mucking it up!)

It's the rock that gives the stream its music . . . and the stream that gives the rock its roll.

Hey Ken

Lots of collaborative potential here. For whatever reason, #4 intrigues me most. #5 is never phrased as a question in my home. It's a definitive statement and a given fact. Just ask Alan!

Peace

You can probably tell #3 came from outer space
But I was intrigued by it and started already

Don't laugh . . . . well, OK, go ahead and laugh :P

An Atomic Candle

An atomic candle is mighty bright. 9
Its beam travels throughout space as waves. 9
Nothing too small can escape its light. 9
It shows us the way matter behaves. 9

It can see the smallest of pieces. 9
But of what are these fragments composed? 9
Our curiosity increases 9
As even more secrets are disclosed. 9

Chorus or Bridge?
Spinning atoms round and round
Let us smash them into rubble.
Hurled particles collide and rebound.
What will we get for our trouble?

We struggle with the material 9
Of the medium in which we swim 9
What of searching the ethereal? 9
What about getting answers from Him? 9

An atomic candle has a wondrous beam. 9
It sheds light on matter's smallest parts. 9
I wonder what marvels could be seen, 9
If used to illuminate our hearts? 9

When does the collaboration come in?

OK
I'll edit it as comments (be gentle) are made and ideas occur.

(No! Wait! It's perfect as it is! )

Tranquility, Contentment, and Harmony
(Which reminds me, we met a waitress whose name was Harmony . . .
she had an older sister named Melody . . .
she said her parents were Hippies)

It's the rock that gives the stream its music . . . and the stream that gives the rock its roll.

"All right, Mr. DeMille, I'm ready for my close-up."
I'm ready to be read by the Masters (or anyone at all!)
And will gratefully accept critiques of my work
To avoid beautiful disasters

The floor has been poured
(I'm finished and now bored)
The walls have been raised
(I'm eager to be praised)
The roof has been lifted
(and told I'm specially gifted)
And the cracks filled with plaster
(Please tell me it's not a complete disaster)
Arrgghh I just found the roof was leaking
(Which required even further tweaking)

Wouldn't it shock you to know that I was . . .
ABD's another guise? ,

The battle of the sexes ends with this realisation.

Number 4 is good. Some potential there

That and two words "Yes Dear" Just be sure you don't say it when asked the
question " Does this make me look fat?"

There seems to be a bit of a theme going on here #1 It wasn't that long ago
#2 Don't blame me and #5 Why is it I'm always wrong?, all have that rocky
relationship thing going on.

#3 An atomic candle is a mighty light, could work well as a song
about plotting revenge.

And #5 could go so many ways and most are just wrong.

Don't matter what I seem to do if life "I'm Wrong "

So that in mind I started writing a song titled many years ago" Why am I always wrong " ...MMM may be time to re-visit that again

Here is to you as good as you are
And here is to me as bad as I am
As good as you are and as bad as I am
I'm as good as you are as bad as I am
