Hi Everyone
Twiddling round on my guitar over the last few days gave me a nice (in my opinion) blues guitar part. I remembered David's week 1 assignment was a blues song so thought I'd exercise some very rusty writing muscles. Hopefully I'll get it recorded and posted over the week-end - beware
The No Escape Blues
I walked for miles in these old brown shoes
I walked for miles in these old brown shoes
But I couldn't walk off these blues
I drove for hours in a clapped out car
I drove for hours in a clapped out car
I drove for hours but I couldn't drive far
I can't escape from you this way
I can't escape from you this way
I still see your face every day
I walked for miles in these old brown shoes
Walked for miles just to shake these blues
My feet hurt now the way my heart does too

Probably could use some more verses but it fits the assignment perfectly as is.
Nice to see you writing Bob.

Hey, I like this.
Didn't know where it was going then the last verse shows that its a good ol' 'lost ma woman' blues.
Short? - well yes but then the Blues is one music style that benefits from repetition. I'd just sing the whole thing through twice - that should do :D
Cheers
