OK, here's what I came up with for Nick's idea. I couldn't use all that stuff, but I think I got most of it in there, although I changed a couple words to suit the chorus.

Missing Muse

When you see about a skyscraper,
it means behind garbage can strokes.
Sometimes for cough syrup returns home,
deep sea fishing with inside sheriff!
mastadon operate a small fruit stand
with bowling ball inside a tomato.

It's how I write without my muse,
when her insights I can't use.
Why she chose to leave me I don't know,
If she'd return I'd treat her good,
Somehow I just know I would,
and I'd beg that blithe spirit to never go.

scooby snack near ruminates,
behind deficit laughs out loud;
inside onlooker borrow from dissidents,
and philosopher near paper napkin
to arrive at a state of philosopher schmitt
canterbury courthouse rebecca bertram

It's how I write without my muse,
when her insights I can't use.
Why she chose to leave me I don't know,
If she'd return I'd treat her good,
Somehow I just know I would,
and I'd beg that blithe spirit to never go.

hey scratch,

see you can still manage to write even with your muse on extended vacation.

i was wondering how someone would write on nick's topic. you did a great job. i was thinking WTF at the start but then when i read the chorus the song makes sense. it is such a sweet way to talk about your muse. if she gets a chance to read this song, i can't see how she could stay away any longer and keep you in this altered writting state.

i always like reading your work, and look forward to see what you will come up with each week.

keep up the steller work.

Excellent Scratch............. haven't the foggiest what it means and it would be a nightmare to sing............ but then I came up with nothing. I do however have an excuse !!!!! Studying for a teaching exam with model auxillery verbs, tenses I've never heard of and not to mention a gerunds... sounds just like your spam song.
go well

hi scratch.

pretty song:) a love song to a muse!?
great. really.

especially like the chorus and the lines3&4 of your second verse.

were we supposed to use the words of Nick's spam mail? I thought this was just an example...:(

hang in there.

Nice one, Scratch, interesting take - I am totally bereft of inspiration this week. As for Jamir's idea, I opened a book at random and got "I know the team in Z-division who developed it. I'm talking 128-bit" and as someone who's as comfortable with technology as the proverbial fish on a bicycle, what am I supposed to make of THAT! (Red Rabbit by Tom Clancy, p238)

Ah well there's always next week.........!
