What I find interesting at parties is all the different types of people you see there, some you like immediately, just by looking at them, and others you don't. It certainly got me thinking, well why do people look like they do, apart from the obvious genetic start we all have I think peoples features change depending on what kind of person they are. Anyway this song is about that. There's an mp3 recording here:

V1
Look at that guy; take a good look at that face
He looks back at me; it makes me of feel out of place
Like a window on his soul
In an open frame of mind
His face is but a picture
Of the things that lay behind
V2
Look at that picture; take a good look at that face
I look back at him I feel like I'm in that space
Every picture tells a story
Every face a 1000 words
Of self defining moments
Of cries that go unheard
Chorus
So why do we look the way we do?
Why do you look at me that way?
When I see that look that's hiding in your eyes
I just don't know what to say, what to say, yeah hey hey hey
V3
Look at yourself; take a good look at your face
When you look back you'll find a window to that other place
We paint a cryptic picture
For all the word to see
You cannot hide what's in there
It's the way it's meant to be
Chorus
So why do we look the way we do?
Why do you look at me that way?
When I see that look that's hiding in your eyes
I just don't know what to say, what to say, yeah hey hey hey
Bravo Bravo
Verse 3 love it ...So true so true
What can I say to this ? It has literally blown me away .
Only one question remains to be asked now ,
" When will the albumn be released ? and how do I get one ?"
I'm being serious the last two recordings you have done have been brilliant .
You are doing now what I aspire to do one day .

Devil's Advocate here........hmmm.......hmmmmm........yes.....hmmmm......OK I give up, what's wrong with it? I can't find anything....!!!!
Seriously, Paul, excellent job....the lyrics are pretty good on their own, but with the music you've put to it - some nice acoustic there, and it sounds as if you've managed to get an old standup bass sound as well - I'd say you got yourself a fine song there!!!
:D :D :D
