From a structural and technical perspective I think the song is fine, but there are a couple of things in there that Im not so keen on.

I think the language used here isn't in keeping with the language of the rest of the song, maybe :
let me stay around
I think you want it
Im not sure what it is you think she wants.
The song is for the most part a caring song, but the I think your chorus and coda feel more like accusations, maybe something like:
Don't be afraid to fall
Don't be afraid to fly
That way the implication is that no matter what, you'll still be there.

However, I will offer a slightly contrasting view of the last point about changing:

Yes, it does stray from the tone of caring established in the rest of the song. However, having established that mood of caring, I think the singer has earned the right to ask the tough question at the end, forcing the one being sung to to answer the question and come to terms with the root issue. And it brings into focus the dilema that many people are facing daily in their lives.
So my recommendation is to do both. In the chorus, ask the tough question. But in the coda, bring the encouraging words in pbee's version to reconnect the song with it's caring tone.
