My article came from the NY Times web site, it was titled, "A river that follows two paths". I did not read any of the article so I have no idea what it is about but here is what I came up with.
You and me
a river that follows two paths together
still connected but split
flowing together and then apart
but back together
we will always be forever
what goes around comes around
what goes up must come down
you and me
a river that follows two paths together
carrying many things
some rejected and some recieved
flowing gently down our streams
the line we cut forever
what goes around comes around
what goes up must come down
you and me
a river that follows two paths together
where are we going
we do not know
the begining always showing
well reach the end together
the day and night change our skins
the light we crave our dark within
what goes around comes around
what goes up must come down
you and me
a river that follows two paths together
you and me
a river that follows two paths forever
you and me
you
you
and me
I like to think of this song as more of a reference of carma and how it affects my life. The song is played to a melody that seems to start in the middle of a progressions and goes from low to high, and so one never really staying steady but still familiar.
No words no explination just music
HiYa Taintedpoet ,
I agree with what you said about karma about this piece it was exactly what I was thinking when I read it .
carrying many things
some rejected and some recieved
flowing gently down our streams
the line we cut forever
That is beautiful I love it.
Well done great writting
(I think so anyways ) :D :D :D

Hi!
One river, two paths. I'm going to write a song about that one myself, it's a beautiful methaphor.
It's very mystical what you wrote.
still connected but split
flowing together and then apart
but back together
we will always be forever
Personally, I think the words 'we will always be forever' I've heard too often in mostly very bad songs.
"Carrying many things" is very original though.
the day and night change our skins
the light we crave our dark within
This is very good.
For a tainted poet, you seem very pure to me!
Hey!
I agree, it's a good piece.
I love the chorus, brilliant stuff.
You should go back and read the article now and see what it was actually about - nothing like what you've written here, I would guess!
Keep writing.
