Anything at All:

It's been 2 years now since you left, You turned and walked away
I've had this burning in my heart, that just won't go away
Sometimes I wish that I would die, leave this life behind
Maybe then I could find peace of mind, from those words I couldn't find

CHORUS:
I Love you
I Hate you
I Lost all control

I Love you
I Hate you
Couldn't say anything at all

Sometimes I lie awake at night, maybe this is all a dream
I've heard that life is sometimes like, where nothing's what it seems
I walk out in the pouring rain, wash you out of my head
It's times like this I like to think, of all the things I could of said

BRIDGE
That Night I Tried and Tried
That Night I Cried and Cried
And still I just can't move on

So I'm looking at yet another set of lyrics - I'm thinking blues, but finding it hard to get a rhythm going...ah, the hell with it, I'll have a listen to the MP3, see what he's done....

LIKE IT!

Honestly, I didn't get much of a vibe from the bare lyrics - nothing special, nothing that jumped out and said "I DON'T FIT!" either.....but I love the way you've put the lyrics and music together, everything seems to just fall into place so naturally. I especially like the muted, almost percussive strums on the chorus - my only criticism, I wish you'd let rip towards the end - full un-muted strums, and raise your voice a little.....

Just to satisfy MY personal curiosity, did you record guitar and vocals separately, or did you just use one track for guitar and vocals, ie were you singing and playing at the same time? I'd love to know.....

Got a good one here, Majesta....

Thanks Vic, I appreciate the criticism.

I've been listening to the recording when I walk at night, and I wish I did rip a little more, especially during the bridge. The only problem I have is I record in my apartment, on the 2nd floor. There are only so many noise complaints I can get before I can evicted. :D

As for the recording, I do have some professional recording equipment, but for some reason I can't get it working with my new computer. So this recording was raw and bare, single track on a $25 logitech webcam mic. :D

I did actually try to multi-track, but it was too difficult using Windows Movie Maker. Hopefully, I'll get protools set up soon.

Vic is 100% right here. Reading the lyrics I got no vibe, didn't expect much. But like he said, the music brought it all together. Great job.

Also, I actually kind of liked the way the recording ended.

Majesta, you could always download Audacity - very easy to use multi-track program, and - BONUS! - it's free! A lot of us use it - you can double-track guitars with a bit of delay, treble-track vocals and get some echo - hell, if I can sound good, ANYONE can!!!!!!!

Vic- I just downloaded that program Audacity and LOL. Some of the sounds that program made I was NOT EXPECTING. Like when I set the frequency or something to 100, I got these weird alien sounds. Not what me or my entire family in the house was expecting to randomly hear. LOL. I'm preparerd for nitemares tonight, lol.

Seems like a good program though.

You should check it out too, Majesta. Just be careful. :P

Majesta,

Great MP3. I had this Country thing going as I read the lyrics
and was pleasantly surprised at your version.

Basically I would echo most of what Vic said.

Good Job
