Well done Pearl Da Catz

Its not perfect so what , but its got you out here and we are listening ,

My only bad comment is "Its' too short "

Bravo Pearl for recording and posting , I know I feel very embarrassed of posting my stuff but have been told its the only way to get better ..

Sounds like a finger nail maybe touching the string next to the string your pressing down on , thats ok its just alittle practice before that gets better and you will miss that string all together ..

You have a nice tune going then it stopped  but I will be looking for from you now , since Pearl Da Catz is about to rock this forum

Well done please keep posting would love to hear more from you

Cheers

freight train is a song that plays through the same thing over and over again. i just played it once and i've played it better and faster, especially on my other guitar. i can't plug in my other guitar so i had to record it on my acoustic-electric which has a micarta fretboard. micarta makes for a very "slippery" fretboard. some call it fast. i don't like it for fingerpicking but it's a great strumming guitar.

and i'm beginning to learn that every little sound gets picked up in the recording so i probably had a fingernail touching.

Pearl,

great job on the recording. One thing that you can do to give the recording a more full sound is to copy the track from the recorded channel to the other channel, that will give you a stereo sound. As for the song I thought what you have here is good, I like the bass line that you manage to play along with the melody, not an easy task at all. That type of picking is certainly something that eludes me. Good work

Paul

i have been working on this number myself over the past 3 months and still its not on the money  so i know how hard this is. My advice is dont move to the next bar untill you perfect the previous one..its also a memory thing thats hard because until you can play with your eyes shut you will never sing it at the same time..agree with others comments, but you are in the right direction with the alternative bass bit....good luck  smoke

i need more practice on this song. what happens here, as on other songs, is i practice it until i get it perfect, (no mistakes that is), then go on to something else. when i come back to this one it's like i have to learn it all over again. but i guess that's a subject for another thread!

Hi,

I listened to this last night but didn't get a chance to post.

Looks like a few people beat me to it.

Good Job and Dog is right about the addictive nature
of recording.
