heh heh, when I told my pips I wanted to play, he taught me a few chords, then had me learn a bluegrass tune called "the guitar is not your friend". I don't think he'd gotten over my slacking on keyboard practice aged 6 and was testing me with the tune. But I stuck with it, obv. And sometimes, not knowing how hard something is makes it fairly easy. Looking back I'm amazed I did it!
pops. Pops, not pips. Darned iffyfone!
Those were nice pics. Looks like you guys had a lot of fun. I am envious, yet, am content to stay on this side of the Atlantic.

Nice guitar. :D
I don't know - and neither, it seems, does anyone else! I bought it off Nick Torres about four years ago - he got it off e-bay. He posted a thread back then, titled something like "What the heck did I just buy?" - and no-one had a clue. Tried googling it, got nowhere.
Probably the only person who knows is the guy who put it together!
Here's a couple of close-ups.....

Interesting guitar, Vic. I think the "SPT" is for Sound Port Technologies... I found this website with a picture that looks suspiciously like the sound ports - it's the fourth item down.
They were apparently made by a company called Landscape. Later ones (2006-2008) were made in Japan, have a stylized LS logo and simpler binding (the pictures are small, but you can just make it out here... but the early ones match your headstock - here's a listing for one on a Japanese vintage guitar site. Some of the early ones seem to have been made in Korea and the Philipines.
Looks like they sell used for around $590 / 360 pounds

That's it. Take a look at the logo in the second and third links
Thanks, you have no idea how much Vic and I searched for who made this one.
Damn Vic, you got a good deal.... :D
Holy fretboards, Tom, I THINK YOU'VE GOT IT! Yes, the logo's exactly the same - and so's the bridge. I found their homepage - doesn't seem too much info on the site - but take a look at the white guitar in this link....

.....the carving of the soundport is EXACTLY the same as mine!
Anyway, I've sent them a message, with a link to some pics, asking for more information - fingers crossed, we may finally find out more!
