Actually I do wear glasses and what's even funnier is that they are the very similar to Eric's, sort of classic Grandpa wire rimmed style. Does this mean that now that I look a bit more like him Ill be able to play a bit more like him ( I wish) .

Trevor, how are you (you OLD B....r) I love the chorus, of this song, the style is really quite good. I think its because the lines are more complex than the lines in the verses which tend to be short bursts. I'd quite like to see the verses written in this style as well, what you are saying in the verses is fine it just that I think the more complex style would really suit this song.

When I was in my late 30s my eye doctor told me to come back

me to read. When I reached about your age now I ran out of arm.

I like the song but feel about the same as Paul.
The chorus is excellent but the verses could use a little
more of that same style.

Not that the verses are not good I just feel they could just be better.

I am finding more with in myself as far as expression goes in my songs but find I still , revert back to short lined verses all the time maybe I just need to challenge my self a little harder . And write in that chorus style for a whole song and not post it until its complete ...

Seems we've all got similar experiences about glasses - for me things stopped being fuzzy around the edges over three years ago.

Good song hilch- I like the alternative take on the glasses, less obvious and more interesting.

I like the way it subtly communicates the stage of life you find yourself in.

While I enjoy the subtlety, my only concern is that if someone were to hear this without also reading your introductory paragraph, it may not be obvious that you're talking about glasses. ( Just make sure when you film the music video that you throw the specs on before each chorus. )

Slowplay : Maybe if the title were "Glasses " or something along those lines would that be more descripive to what this song is actually about ?
I thought the following lines myself let the reader know what it is all about .. Maybe something I have to look at in the future ????
