Not at all. I think this song works on many levels. You've got imagery, structure & rhyme and most importantly to my mind you have control over me as a listener.
The chorus at the beginning is an inspired choice to my mind, after the 1st verse I'm thinking “how are you going to resolve the other 3 ideas in there”, which of course you do, but you have control of my thinking process, and that to me is one of the keys of a good song.
