Note to everyone who had trouble with geometry. When we got the tech assignment, I did a song about a 35 yr. old woman I met on the internet when I was 19. Write what you know. Use metaphors--ie: diagonally parked in a parallel universe. You've got more to write than you realize.
Note to Slowplay:

Love Triangle Casualty
©2005JKovak
She's a big round mess
In her A line dress
She's a love triangle casualty
With no vertex
And now in the end
It's really unfair
How her circle of friends
All think she's square
She's a love triangle casualty
Livin' haphazardly
A love triangle casualty
In disarray
A love triangle casualty
Livin' in uncertainty
Wonderin' if she'll make it
Through another day
Used to be so pretty
All the right curves
Now she's a size 20 dress
And a bundle of nerves
Never had a chance
Never stood to win
In the scalene triangle
She found herself in
She's a love triangle causalty
Livin' haphazardly
A love triangle casualty
In disarray
A love triangle casualty
Livin' in uncertainty
Wonderin' if she'll make it
Through another day
She eats to soothe
Her acute pain
In an obtuse world
Where no one knows her name
And there is no algorithm
To why she was with 'im
All the angles always point her toward
The ice cream bin
She's a love triangle casualty
Lvin' haphazardly
A love triangle casualty
In disarray
A love triangle casualty
Livin' in uncertainty
Wonderin' if she'll make it
Through another day
She never stood a chance
It wasn't happenstance
It was just another theorem
In her endless dance
To keep her well planned life
From intersecting strife
To a parallel plane
Of her mother's plight
She's a love....
Clap Clap Clap. You are the man!
lol Nice work and quick too. :D
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming -- "WOW--What a Ride!"
And there is no algorithm
To why she was with 'im
Fantastic Line! It's very John Hiatt-ish
Falling in love is like learning to play the guitar; first you learn to follow the rules, then you learn to play with your heart.
Another tour de force Joe. :D Funny and clever, and a good singable song with a pertinent theme. Reminded me a bit of some of the great songs that Tom Lehrer did.
I was completely hypotenused.... umm, sorry... hypnotised... :P
Cheers, Chris.
wow. that's hilariously bad. but it's kind of decent, too.

 Can't wait to hear the Bluesy geometry ditty you entertain us with this week. Or if you just wanna waffle a bit, those are entertaining, too, lol.
Very impressed here too. That was just fun to read.

Hey Joe,
I love it, definitely got an upbeat rocker here for my money. The only thing I have to say is that I dont think you need the outro (not that theres anything wrong with the outro, far from it), I just think the song stands just as strong without it.
Well done mate :D .
cheers
