No Reflection On You
No reflection on you
But I don't think you're what you seem to be
When I look into your mirror I see
An image quite untrue
No reflection on you
But only you bring out the tramp in me
Only you bring out the vamp in me
And I don't know what to do
When you hold my gaze deep in your eyes
You have the power to mesmerize
I feel my life's blood running through
And before I have the time to realize
I'm floating off to paradise
On a cloud of Midnight blue
No reflection on you
You always leave before the morning light
You just come to me in the dead of night
And leave me empty when you're through
No reflection on you
You're just a shadow of your former self
You can't compare with anybody else
There's no reflection on you.

Nice. I really like the "no reflection on you" take.
Hi
I really like where this takes me as a reader
You always leave before the morning light
You just come to me in the dead of night
real thought provoking
and this
I'm floating off to paradise
On a cloud of Midnight blue
Love them lines only thing wrong I can see , its too short or is that just me wanting more ?
Hilch :?:
Here is to you as good as you are
And here is to me as bad as I am
As good as you are and as bad as I am
I'm as good as you are as bad as I am
That makes me not want to turn out the lights. Very Good Job.
Hi Kat
Very good interpretation of the assignment and really well written piece. I'll let you off for the use of vamp in the first verse
Good stuff
Bob
You are what you eat, eat well
Great lyrics. Loved it.

Graet Job,
Reading this earlier made me rewrite my submission
for the third time.
Thanks for raising the bar.

Thanks so much, all of you! Got together with some friends yesterday and jammed on this tune for an hour or so. I was hearing it as a tango, but it's probably more of a samba. With my more talented buds adding leads and a bass line, it was incredible! Every once in a while, you know right from the start you have a winner.
And Bob, thanks for letting me slide on vamp. I know it's a bit of a sneak, but I was thinking more along the lines of sexuality than the undead!
