SSG11-Week28 The Articles- An, The, A

http://soundclick.com/share.cfm?id=12318014

Chorus
The articles ‘an’, ‘the’, ‘a’
The articles ‘an’, ‘the’, ‘a’
Three words are enough
The articles ‘an’, ‘the’, ‘a’

The article ‘an’ only likes five letters
a, e, i , o, u words just sound better
The vowel can start an adjective or singular noun
a, e, i , o, u words like the ‘an’ sound

The article ‘an’ likes to mingle
But she will only mingle with nouns that are single
The vowel can start an adjective or singular noun
a, e, i, o, u words like the ‘an’ sound

Like an apple or an eagle, or an insect, or an ox
Like an open umbrella, or an unopened box
Like an active volcano or an interesting plan
No one likes vowels like the article ‘an’

chorus

The article ‘the’ likes most nouns
Singular or plural, common or compound
Uncountable or countable he likes them too
But don’t use ‘the’ with proper nouns; that won’t do

See the eyeball eating alien at the bus stop
See the three headed baby with the bright pink socks
See the sand in the nose from the desert trip
But don’t use ‘the’ with proper nouns; 'the' should be skipped

chorus

The article ‘a’ doesn’t like vowels
If a vowel starts the word, you’ll hear ‘a’ growl
Don’t use ‘a’ with uncountable nouns
Or you’ll sound dumb to people around

Don’t use ‘a’ with proper nouns or plurals
But you can use ‘a’ with a fifty meter squirrel
But don’t say ‘a’ without a singular noun
Or you’ll sound dumb to people around

‘a’ …..I don’t know

Say a pen, a car, a wife, or a sunbeam or a kite
Say a walrus, or a waiter, or a teacher or a skater
Say a student, or a writer, or a nurse who is a fighter
Say a song that never ends, or say goodbye to a friend

chorus

I see you are still on your educational series. I keep going back to Abraham, Martin and John. Incredibly simple yet powerful song that has 4 identical ( with the exception of the names ) verses

Hi Neil,
Plans for childrens educational videos in your future?
I'd like to but I haven't figured out an "easy" way to make music videos....the technology does seem to get more user friendly all the time

Thanks for the listen and feedback :D
I see you are still on your educational series.
Yes, I keep adding them to my list at

+1 Yes, that song nails it........that's the thing about finding the perfect song for the assignment that you didn't write.

Well, you could try it with someone with multiple personalities being cured and losing one personality at a time...........or a story/movie where the characters get killed off one by one.

or you could personify themes that are missing from a current culture or generation.

or ask about one hit wonders, or child actors, or fads from another generation.

Thanks for the listen and post, John :D

BTW
I made one small change since a co-teacher thought "ugly woman" might be offensive :|
Like an ugly woman or an interesting man

changed to .........

Like an active volcano or an interesting plan

All well done. There's one line that I don't like. It seems like you were just trying to come up with something that was a rhyme or near rhyme here:

But don’t use ‘the’ with proper nouns; you’ll make us sick

You could try:

But don’t use ‘the’ with proper nouns; "the" should be skipped

or

But don’t use ‘the’ with proper nouns; "the" doesn't fit

That's quite a mix of characters :D I guess the common thread would be they are all passionate which has gotten them into trouble.

My alternative topic was going to be Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shadrach,_Meshach,_and_Abednego

or a couple of days ago I thought of The Good, the Bad and the Ugly".......you could write about that movie or make up your own 3 adjectives as characters.

or personify the game "Paper, Rocks and Scissors".......writing about how we all have strengths and weaknesses.

.....just some thought to share if it helps spark any ideas.
