Y7W44 A Little Time
http://soundclick.com/share.cfm?id=8056654
Hello wake up my little one
The sun is shining and bright
come out and play my little one
I'll tuck you in safe tonight
Get dressed or not my little one
Pick out whatever you like
Let's catch a rainbow my little one
Eat drink and laugh with delight
Wrap your arms around my neck
I'll spin you round and round
Try not to blink; just hold on tight
Don't let your feet touch the ground
Don't let your feet touch the ground
Look at you blush my little one
The honey bees call you by name
You've quite a kingdom my little one
A life-time is spent in one day
Ask your big questions my little one
You melt my heart with your cares
Pondering puzzling little one
I'll carry you up the stairs
Gray haired and tired my little one
We've made the most of this life
I know it's not fair my little one
We have so little time
My wife said you could probably could sell that one.
I usually listen to the songs with my earphones but they haven't been working too well lately . . . so she heard this one.
The sound is excellent . . . vocal very clear.
A very pretty lullaby.
If Ignar (Arjen) was around you could probably ask him to add violin to this for harmony.
It's the rock that gives the stream its music . . . and the stream that gives the rock its roll.
Nice one James,
I see you didn't disappoint with a little twist at the end, and here I was thinking it was his little child, well done
cheers
Paul
I agree with KR2, this is a very pretty lullaby. Towards the end, I was thinking it sounded a bit like James Taylor.
Nice job!
- Chris
Ken,
Glad your wife liked it!
Paul,
here I was thinking it was his little child
Thanks for the feedback!.....and.....Good job at picking up on the twist....or door to deeper meaning
Chris,
Thanks for the listen and post. :D

***********SPOILER ALERT.....maybe :?
I am not sure if others are picking up on the deeper meaning of the song or not.....I am not sure it is important if people do or not.....I am not sure if I need to clarify or not.....but if interested....the following is what the song is really about:
It has a lullaby feel and can read like one but the deeper meaning is Father Time singing to Man....the message in the verses...
1 Get out and live
2 Have fun
3 Hold on- life is a fast ride and it will end quickly
4 You spend too much time working building a kingdom "gathering material things"
5 You can ask about the mysteries of life, but don't take it too seriously or expect to know all the answers
6 THE END - your life is over. I know you don't want to die and life is unfair and it goes to quick....but it is what it is......
Feedback?
Thanks,
James
Since the theme was on time, I was thinking it was about the day in the life of a day.
A day having only a life span of . . . a day, morning would be it's youth, and evening it's twilight (no pun intended . . . if there's one there) years . . . where it would be going back to bed . . .
but by that time it would be old, and grey, and senile, and decrepit, and coughing, and wheezing, and have lost partial bladder control, and be all cranky . . .
But I guess it wasn't about that.
It's the rock that gives the stream its music . . . and the stream that gives the rock its roll.

Since it wasn't about all that  sounds like you got the makings of another song there!
....but I really do like your concept....the birth, life and death of a day..... :D
Since it wasn't about all that  sounds like you got the makings of another song there!
Nah . . . I'm too lazy.
But if you read your lyrics with that theme in mind . . . guess who the narrator is?
Father Time! . . . waking up one of his children . . . and then putting it back to bed.
You see how I was misled by you? :?

Ok....let me clear things up by using an online language translator.....
Hola se despierta mi pequeño uno
El sol brilla y brillante sale
y juega mi pequeño uno
yo le me meteré en esta noche segura
Hello it awakes my small one one
The sun shines and brilliant leaves
and plays my small one one
I will put him me in this sure night
It is dressed or not my small one
a Choice was what want
Permit us caught a rainbow my little one one
Eats the beverage and the laughter with delight
Wrap their armaments around the neck
I will rotate rounds him and rounds
Tries not to blink; just asidero in tight did not permit that the feet touch the floor
did not permit that the feet touch the floor
Look at my small one blushes one
The bees of honey call him for name that
You Have enough a kingdom my small one
one A life is spent in a day
Ask its large questions my small one one
You melt the heart with its cares
that Reflect to disconcert small one
I will carry him up the stair

Around here . . . we call that . . . a beautiful disaster.
It's the rock that gives the stream its music . . . and the stream that gives the rock its roll.
Hi James
That's sweet...ahhhhhh
Just like those before me, I originally though father and child, then I thought James wouldn't be that predictable so I read again and thought, yes, a day in the life of a day - it all fits beautifully.....
Just goes to show, doesn't it
Still, it's a nice song....
Rock on!

I'm nowhere near Chicago. I've got six string, 8 fingers, two thumbs, it's dark 'cos I'm wearing sunglasses - Hit it!
Hi Dylan,
Thanks for the feedback and going back for the second read to check out the deeper meaning
James
Nice one James. Like the melody and chords.
"All battles are first won or lost in the mind." - Joan of Arc
"It took me about 20 years to figure out how to write without inspiration. Thankfully, I got there." - Leon Russell
Man online translators really suck xD, most of the time the order of the words is messed up, and it translates the words without looking at the context.
For example play guitar ( is uh playing guitar ) but in spanish we dont use play = jugar ( as in play have fun etc etc ) we dont use Jugar guitarra ( literal translation of play guitar )
We use Tocar guitarra and if you translate that you will get, Touch guitar.
Nice song btw :D
I wanna be that guy that you wish you were ! ( i wish I were that guy)
You gotta set your sights high to get high!
