Just wondering if I could down some songs you guys have written and played .
Reason : My wife has been coming out to my little room and listening to some of your songs with me and she is blown away with the talented people who post their music .
Of couse I wouldn't do it if anyone does not want me to download their music and I totally understand , it's just I thought I spend so much time trying to play and make music like you guys . And now since Pbee recorded one of my songs Trudy ( the Mrs ) keeps popping in and asking me to play this song and that song for her , I just thought well why not burn her copy and she have it in her car and play it when ever she wants to .. of course I won't be putting my music on it I would not want to spoil the CD ..
Totally understand any objections ...
Just a way of me saying thank you to her for being so understanding of this 43 year chasing his dream that 40 years to realise ...

most of the songs up on everyones soundclick site are free to download, and that is part of the deal. To stop someone downloading its just a matter of restricting that function on soundclick. So if you can download it it means that the author is happy for you to do it, you just can't make any commercial gain out of the download thats all, so feel free.

I appreciate your desire not to 'steal' the work of your fellow artists, but like Paul said, anyone who has a song on Soundclick that is downloadable is expressly giving you permission to download and freely distribute that song under the Creative Commons licence. ( Some people do have restrictions on modifying the song, like I do, but that's not because I'm against people tinkering with my stuff, but because I'm curious to know about what they're up to. ) I know for me at least, I get a small burst of endorphins and a stupid little grin when I see that someone has downloaded on of my songs.
