As many of you know this has been a very rough time for
me and my family. For you who don't my 7 tear old grandson Shaun
was struck by a pick-up truck while crossing the road last week.
He survived but has a long road back to recovery.

For a fuller story see my post under News;

http://forums.guitarnoise.com/viewtopic.php?t=18581

I'll really didn't think I'd be writing this week but I guess that's
part of how cope.

Anyway this came to me the other night in a rare quiet time.

It's not much as a song but the emotions are real and I send it
out to Shaun and all the good people sending out their prayers
and good thoughts to him.

John

Circle of Love

There's a circle of love
All over the world
And it's full of good wishes for you

There's a circle of friends
Alive in the hope
That you're doing the best you can do

Although they do not know you
They pray and speak your name
From Australia or from Canada
They all wish to ease your pain

There's a young man from India
Sending you his Hindu prayers
And a girl who's from the Netherlands
Lifts your name into the air

There's a circle of faith
All over the world
And it's helping you win this long fight

There's a circle of hope
Surrounding the globe
Praying you sleep well tonight

So rest you eyes my darling boy
Feel no fear or grief
You receiving all the best of care
And soon you'll find relief

There's a circle of love
All over the world
And it's full of good wishes for you

There's a circle of friends
Alive in the hope
That you're doing the best you can do

That's great, John. Very inspiring. Bet Sean'll love it when you teach it to him, and before we know it, he'll be posting his own songs.

Best wishes to him, his mom and dad, and you and the rest of the family in this stressful time.

Joe

Very nice, John.

Sometimes motivation and inspiration come from the most unobvious sources.

Keep writing.

Ditto and Ditto Bish too.

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming -- "WOW--What a Ride!"

The best songs got their roots in emotions...
Great lyrics, so touching that you even got a tear breaking through here :?

Great song John. Very fitting. I like how you included people from within the forum into your song.

I don't know what to say my friend, You do your best stuff from the heart. Kind of reminds me a bit of Cat Stevens "Peace Train"Hope to hear it as soon as you have things at home taken care of.--ken

Nice one John,
I think it's nice that you express some of that emotion on this forum. In fact I think your pretty brave to open up and expose some really personal parts of your life to us in the first place.
All the best mate. I'm glad to hear Shaun's on the mend.

Cheers
Paul
