Ah The Blues! My favorite style of Music althouhg every time I try to write it comes out country. (think my mom listened to a little to much Hank Williams while I was in the womb) Lets try a basic twelve bar on this one:
Full Moon Blues
My lady shines like the stars
She only comes out at night
Said my lady shines like the stars
She only comes out at night
And when there's a full moon rising
She knows how to treat me right
She don't like no sunshine
Says it burns too blazin' hot
My baby don't like no sunshine
Says it burns too blazin' hot
But when that full mooon's on the horizon
She ties my heart strings in a knot
My lady shines like the stars
She only comes out at night
Said my lady shines like the stars
She only comes out at night
And when there's a full moon rising
She knows how to treat me right
Shes got this lunar thing goin'
Her moods they change like the tide
You know shes got this lunar thing goin'
Her moods they change just like the tide
And with that harvest moon arrivin'
You know her lovin she just can't hide
My lady shines like the stars
She only comes out at night
Said my lady shines like the stars
She only comes out at night
And when there's a full moon rising
She knows how to treat me right
Celt,
I really love the blues. And this is wonderful. I thought initially when I read "She's got a lunar thing goin on" that "lunar" felt out of place, but with the next line, "Her moods they change just like the tides", it all fell into order. (at least for me) This is really quite good. I enjoyed it.

hey celt,
great job. the blues really work for the lyrics. and i don't think this one came out country at all.
Shes got this lunar thing goin.
Her moods they change like the tide these here are my favorite lines.
who ever your lady is you write about must love this song. would love someone to write a song like this about me. very sweet. i like the running theme of the moon and night.
nothing stood out to me that should be changed here. great job. hopefully your muse will stay good and strong for a long time. i enjoy reading your stuff.

Im big into blues myself... usually the relaly old stuff... I like this one. Some lines seem just a tad forced.. but that's permissible in a blues style. So no complaints really.
Good stuff. Maybe try recording it if you can?

Hi Celt
Effectively done - you can't beat a bit of blues.
Really good piece, flows nicely and is a good take on the assignment.
Great Stuff

You are what you eat, eat well
Like the song and like everybody else I love this line
Shes got this lunar thing goin'
Her moods they change like the tide
I only wish my ladys mood were like that every 12 hours or so would
be a great chage of pace not every 20 minutes(just kidding honey...I'm dead if she see this)LOL

This is a lovely blues song
They always look deceptively easy but I admire anyone who can write a song in this style where every word has to count.
I really wouldn't change a thing about it.
